Regular Season
The Polar Bear Hockey Club is a non-profit, volunteer organization that strives to create and sustain an environment where participants gain the lifelong benefits of physical fitness, teamwork, respect, leadership, and cooperation. These values help each child reach their personal goals while positively contributing to the Ironwood community and surrounding areas.
Ages
Opportunities for skaters of all levels, ages 3 to 18 with Learn to Skate and age specific teams.
When
Season begins in September and runs until playoffs in February.
Where
Practices and home games are held at the Pat O'Donnell Civic Center in Ironwood, MI.
Practices
Learn to Skate practices 1 time per week. Teams practice 2-3 times per week.
Games
Teams will generally play 20-30 games over the course of the season. Games usually fall on the weekend with some travel across the regional area.
Equipment
Jerseys and game socks are provided. Equipment may also be borrowed for the season on a first come first serve basis.
2025-2026
For youth players 6U (birth years 2019 & 2020), 8U (birth years 2017 & 2018), 10U (birth years 2015 & 2016), 12U (birth years 2013 & 2014), and 14U (birth years 2011 & 2012).
